Summer Tour Film Screening + Live Dead Performance by Mason's Children

Summer Tour is a poetic documentary that follows Jerry and Annie, a magnetic young couple devoted to the music and community of Dead & Company,  as they journey across America for the band’s final tour. Blending intimate portraiture with lyrical road imagery, the film captures the essence of the Deadhead experience: an unconventional family bound together by music, freedom, and the open road. At once a love story and a celebration of a uniquely American tradition of wandering, Summer Tour reflects on what it means to seek belonging, adventure, and transcendence in a fleeting moment of cultural history.

About Mason’s Children:
Mason’s Children is unlike your average rock group. They bring to stage more than just recreations of our favorite Dead tunes… they embody the authentic 1960’s flower child vibration.

Members met on the road, touring Dead and Company and Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros and gained a following by playing at Shakedown lots before and after each show.

They are also known for their impromptu Haight street shows, where they set up plugged in on the corner of Haight & Ashbury playing an entire two set show, revitalizing Haight of its summer of love era life.

Mason’s Children has a zest and passion for the Grateful Dead that shines thru their playing. They are adversed in all eras of the Grateful Dead but tend to perform with the 1960’s and 70’s chapter.
