A Brief History of R.E.M. presented by PureSoul

Focusing on the music of R.E.M. in the 1980s and 1990s, A Brief History of R.E.M. is a tribute to the songs that defined the band’s rise — from the raw, jangle-driven sound of their early years to the melodic, era-shaping records that followed. The set traces R.E.M.’s evolution while staying true to what made them special in the first place: strong songs, distinctive textures, and a sound that always felt personal, thoughtful, and unmistakably their own. Produced by PureSoul, the band features some of Chicago’s finest musicians, including members of Sons of the Silent Age, Robbie Fulks’ band, and more.
